After a three year wait Brown Bear are set to release their new EP, “Music to Swim to”. The band will launch the EP at The Zoo in Brisbane on the 26th of October. For fans and friends of Brown Bear the wait has been way too long but at least that wait is nearly over. See you all at The Zoo on the 26th.

Here at SK we’re extremely excited about our next sampler in the Have You Heard series. We have collected some of the finest emerging talent from all over the world to fill out the 20 tracks on the CD and we’ve engaged the services of exciting, young graphic designer, Grammatik, to do the artwork. The CD is due fro release in September and the only way to get one is through the artists themselves at a live show, from a selection of independent music stores across Australia or by downloading it at www.starvingkids.com.au We’ll also be posting them out with any T-shirt or CD purchases off our site.

Songs from Ireland, Turkey, Alaska, New York, and all over Australia are included.

The Ellington boys have returned home from a short tour. Taking in Canberra, Melbourne, Newcastle, Toowoomba, the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Rockhampton and their home town of Gladstone the boys were on the road for 3 weeks. The reaction to their live show has been increasingly positive and the Ellington team are now focused on recording a new CD and organising a tour of the US in May of 2008. “We loved life on the road and can’t wait to get back out again. We are planning to hit the US next year but we also want to revisit the towns we’ve just played.”
