Adelaide-Based Pop-Punkers Down And Out Share 'Four Leaf Clover' Feat. Kellin Quinn

Tandanya/Adelaide-based pop-punk band Down And Out have shared their latest offering 'Four Leaf Clover' feat. Kellin Quinn– produced and mixed by ARIA-Nominated producer Stevie Knight (Stand Atlantic, Yours Truly, RedHook) and mastered by Grant Berry of Fader Mastering.

'Four Leaf Clover' opens with electrifying immediacy, showcasing the growling vocals of fervent frontman Luke Ganeo, establishing a tone of controlled aggression and explosive intensity. Kellin Quinn's impassioned melody seamlessly blends with gritty guitars and pulse-pounding rhythms, crafting an invigorating and cathartic sonic landscape. The tempo decelerates to a deliberate crawl in the bridge, entwined with distortion and eerie feedback, before the final chorus escalates into a tumultuous concoction of unmatched fervour. Down And Out talks about the inspiration behind 'Four Leaf Clover' feat. Kellin Quinn:

"The song is about getting into a relationship with someone that you know you shouldn't; the sort of person that makes you think, "yeah, they're gonna ruin my life". Then guess what?! SURPRISE - they ruin your life! I mean, you can kind of blame them, but you've also gotta blame yourself for walking into oncoming traffic despite all the very obvious red flags all over the road and the barricades that were attempting to stop you from making terrible decisions. So, yeah, the song is about a person that I knew was going to ruin my life, but I went ahead and let them, and now I've gotta take accountability for the choices that I made to get myself into that situation." Accompanying the release is music video filmed, directed, and edited by Colin Jeffs at Ten At Swords Media (RedHook, Yours Truly, Future Static). The video centres around the vibrant arcade scenes, mixed with vintage film cuts, psychedelic editing and pixelated shots. The camera angles mirror the songs growing intensity, capturing the band performing in the set that opened the video, creating a balance of both cohesion and chaos.

To celebrate the release, Down And Out are supporting Drastic Park on tour, whilst performing their own headline shows across the country.
