An alternative-rock classic, reinvented.
Sahara Beck has just recently released her pensive cover of ‘Teenage Dirtbag’ by Wheatus on all streaming platforms and it's received endless praise. Her dark cover was originally released on YouTube as a DIY music video, but took off when fans of the original couldn't get enough. Even Wheatus tweeted their approval:
Stripped back to the bare bones of keys, guitar and a pitch perfect voice, Beck makes the song her own.
She accompanied this dreamy cover with some big news, a new EP! ‘And Her Kryptonite’ will be released for your ears to enjoy on June 17th and ‘Teenage Dirtbag’ will be included. But that’s not the end of Sahara’s huge announcements, she will be playing at Glastonbury Festival next month.
‘And Her Kryptonite’ is the companion piece to her 3rd EP, ‘Queen of Hearts’ and will feature ‘Crave Me’, ‘Kryptonite’ and ‘Stillness’, all previously released singles. This EP will display Sahara’s exquisite voice and immense songwriting talent in a remarkable way. She will tour these EPs in Australia and will also play dates in the UK. The full details are below.
It’s looking like an exciting few months coming up for Sahara Beck so stay tuned to catch her live and hear her most exciting release yet.
