Lucid Safari is Dream-Rock project of Brisbane musician and front man Dan Lewis. Hosting a rotation of rising and accomplished musicians, the band explore sounds of psych, surf, rock and reggae, translating Lewis' sonic vision in the studio and on the live stage.

After only a short time on the scene, Lucid Safari received high praise for winning The Sound Garden’s “Battle of the Bands” in October of 2020. The band went on to perform the Main Stage at the Inaugural Wynnum Fringe Festival in November and have since played Brisbane’s most iconic venues including The Zoo and The Triffid and have played alongside renowned and respected artists such as Kate Miller-Heidke, Ian Moss, Fat Picnic and Golden Age Of Ballooning. Bringing the good vibes, immersive grooves and catchy hooks, Lucid Safari has the crowd in-step to their offbeat flow.
The band released their debut EP “Delirium” on February 20, 2022 and celebrated with their first ever headline show at the Black Bear Lodge, selling out in the midst of the Queensland floods leaving a loud and enraptured audience wanting more.
The first single “Lady” of the EP received high praise & countless raving reviews with online media outlets and community radio. US radio station KXFM added it to High Rotation and the Second single “Liquid Dreams” premiered on Double J’s Stir it up with Sarah Howells.
Notable track from the EP, "Always On My Mind” hit No. 5 in the AMRAP metro charts on March 14, 2022.
The band will be celebrating today's release with a free launch show at renowned Brisbane venue Felons Barrel Hall on September 2, 2022 accompanied some of Brisbane’s best talents, Dusty and Ashgroove.
Lucid Safari has further plans to release yet another single in November 2022, followed by a major show and opening up the next chapter in the band’s story.
