New Zealand's Singer-Songwriter RIIKI REID Announces New 3 Track EP 'CRASH AND COLLIDE'

Building upon the momentum of 2022 so far, Kiwi singer RIIKI REID has announced a new 3 track EP CRASH AND COLLIDE. To celebrate, today also sees the release of the first single from the EP “Drive”.

In true RIIKI REID fashion, the song encourages its listener to self-reflect. “Drive” explores a relationship between two people who find each other and realise their differences are what balance each other out - opening their eyes to new ways of thinking.

“There are people you meet in life that have this kind of effect on you – and it’s rare. The song gives this exhilarating feeling, it’s as if two people are running at each other full speed and become one” RIIKI explains of the song.

Launching her new project RIIKI REID at the start of the year 2022 marked an exciting new chapter for artist Raquel Abolins-Reid. The multifaceted artist’s knowledge in both music and movement has allowed her to create catchy and intriguing music influenced by a range of genres – which is brightly highlighted in her new and upcoming releases.

RIIKI REID has worked with award-winning producer and engineer Simon Gooding (Dua Lipa, Pink, Drax Project), Wells* (Navvy, Thomston, Paige) and Alex Wildwood (The Veronicas, Broods, Earth Tiger).

2022 has seen RIIKI REID complete an arena tour alongside some of NZ’s biggest names - L.A.B, JessB, Katchafire, The Black Seeds and Dave Dobbyn, as well as joining Budjerah on his Australian tour.
