Queen of More than the Arcade

Ava Cooper

Searching for your new favourite unapologetically badass artist? Wallace is what you’ve been looking for. Last month, she released a defiant EP, Arcade Queen, which perfectly melds her groovy beats and unmatched voice. I guarantee you’ve never heard anything like it. With every song painting a new sonic landscape, you won’t get bored. It’s an EP dedicated to her young loves and the intensity of the crushes she used to have. On the emotions behind Arcade Queen, she said “I think young love is so important, all-consuming and happens at such a confusing time in a person’s life. Lots of adults find it amusing or are patronising about it and I think we could all do with a bit more of it.”

That’s not all however, as Wallace accompanied the EP with a big announcement. An album titled And Other Colours, set to be released 10th August. Her debut will feature all your favourite tracks from the EP, and more. Wallace is going places that you don’t want to miss.
