Rxece Unveils Hit New Single ‘Broken Promises’

Rxece, AKA Reece Silcock comes forth with the dashing new single ‘Broken Promises’ - one that will be sure to shift feelings and create noise across the Meanjin/Brisbane music scene.

Raised in Meanjin/Brisbane, the artist draws his inspiration from similar hip hop/pop artists such as The Kid Laroi, Juice WRLD and Iann Dior. His touching writing style is brought upon by not always what he feels, but what the people closest to him too have felt during times of heartbreak or despair.

Broken Promises’ describes the emotions of detachment from the people closest to you, of whom you love. When they break your trust and destroy the bond they once had within your heart.

Rxece recorded ‘Broken Promises’ during the holidays prior to his senior year at Music Industry College, Brisbane, Queensland at his home studio where the artist creates and explores music and production daily, located in Eagleby, Queensland. Over a few days the track was recorded, mixed and mastered by the artist, and preparations for release took place once he returned to school for his senior year.

Produced by Ross Gossage and Ryan Ley, Rxece shares “The beat just felt so right for my vocals, from the pop punk guitar to the hip/hop drums, it really just matched my style.”

“The lyrics for this track came to me through thinking about all the people who are no longer by my side, the people lost and found along the journey of my career. I really had to tap into my emotions for this one, it now turns out ‘Broken Promises’ is without a doubt my favourite song I have written thus far” - Rxece

Rxece kicked off his musical career at 16 years old, with his emotive debut single ‘Acting so Strange’ (Released Oct 2022) The artist is a self taught

multi-instrumentalist, as well as a producer from his bedroom studio.

We can only assume that this is the start for such talented youth, and many are eager to hear what's to come from Rxece.

For now, the artist continues to study at Music Industry College for his senior year, developing his craft and perfecting his sound day by day.
