Sugar Leaves and Lex Share Collaborative Single & Music Video 'Time’s Up!'

Right off the bat from their Splendour In The Grass performance, Meanjin-based beach-pop band Sugar Leaves share new track 'Time's Up' featuring PNG/Brisbane Rapper Lex.
When playing as Lex’s backing band during live shows and recording sessions in 2021, the group sparked a natural creative bond through a shared passion for 90’s era hip-hop and jazz-tinted rap music. For Southeast Sounds' CIC Series, they even covered Tribe Called Quest together.
'Time’s Up!' draws inspiration from these all-time classic artists while approaching production with a more modern and crisp style. Check out the music video filmed by Adam Potts in Brisbane's CBD here
